Shanghai, China, April 25, 2023. Vitesco Technologies, a leading international supplier of modern powertrain technologies and electric mobility solutions has put its laboratory at the Tianjin location officially into use. Following the opening of the Tianjin Research and Development Center in 2021, the completion of the laboratory is another important milestone for Vitesco Technologies in China. The Tianjin location now integrates research and development, testing and production functions to build an electrification powerhouse expediting clean mobility.
The newly opened laboratory is located at the production base of Vitesco Technologies Tianjin, with a total area of nearly 2,000 square meters. The laboratory contains 55 sets of internationally advanced testing equipment fully covering the dimensional measurement, environmental endurance test, thermal and mechanical shock test, vibration test, high-voltage electromagnetic compatibility test, electrostatic discharge test and other experimental functions. Eventually, the laboratory will shorten the cycle for product development and verification, reduce costs and boost new breakthroughs in the field of electrification.
The product portfolio at Vitesco Technologies’ Tianjin location covers high-voltage electric drive systems, high-voltage electronic control systems, high-voltage battery management systems and 48V technologies that are widely applied among international e-mobility platforms. With this laboratory opening, Tianjin will also offer a variety of services such as design consultation, experiment consultation and experiment simulation for the entire Asian market.
