Shanghai, China / Regensburg, Germany. March 10, 2021. As of now Vitesco Technologies China has its own regional headquarters located in Shanghai. Roundabout 450 employees recently moved into their new, 6.000 square meters state-of-the-art offices in the Yangpu District. With this, the company, a leading international supplier of modern powertrain technologies and electrification solutions, is also officially certified by the Shanghai Commission of Commerce.
“The certification as regional headquarters is a very valuable and remarkable recognition for us”, says Gregoire Cuny, President of Vitesco Technologies China. To receive the certificate, the company had to meet high requirements concerning investments, innovative technologies, corporate social responsibilities, and economic contributions. “In the past year 2020, Vitesco Technologies China has overcome many challenges and acheived remarkable results”, Cuny states. “This was made possible thanks to the support and guidance from local governments and to the extraordinary commitment and engagement of all passionate employees across the country.”
Vitesco Technologies is one of the few system suppliers worldwide able to offer the whole range of electronics, software and system integration for the electrification of the drive train. Correspondingly large is the portfolio of innovative solutions for 48-volt systems and plug-in hybrids through to fully battery-based electric drives. For example, highly complex power electronics, intelligent sensor technology, integrated axle drives, battery management systems and energy and heat management systems. This makes it possible to provide fully developed individual components and to develop sophisticated complete systems from a single source. The e-axle drive EMR3 is delivered to six car manufacturers including PSA, Hyundai and Dongfeng with more than 20 vehicle models since 2019.
Vitesco Technologies operates several highly successful production, research and development sites in China. Its newly built R&D Center in Tianjin is expected to open before the end of 2021.
