  • Diversity is an integral part of succession planning in all areas and at all levels at Vitesco Technologies
  • Raising awareness: “Diversity Charter” and “Diversity Month” with workshops for employees worldwide

Regensburg, May 20, 2021. Taking the International Diversity Day (tomorrow) as an occasion, Vitesco Technologies has signed the United Nations Women’s Empowerment Principles (WEPs). The company, headquartered in Regensburg and a leading international provider of modern drive technologies and electrification solutions, is thus underpinning its commitment to gender equality and the strengthening of the role of women in the workplace and in the community.
„We are convinced that diversity makes us stronger. Gender, age, nationality, cultural origin, sexual orientation, religion and conviction make each of us unique and inspire us. Diversity is our driving force when it comes to developing new products and innovative solutions.“
– Andreas Wolf, CEO of Vitesco Technologies
“We congratulate Vitesco Technologies on taking the first step on their WEPs journey,” explains Phumzile Mlambo-Ngcuka, executive director of UN Women: “We see Vitesco Technologies as an important partner when it comes to closing gender discrepancies – not only in the workplace and in the market but also in society.” The Women’s Empowerment Principles (WEPs) of the United Nations are based on international labor standards and human rights, as well as the recognition that companies play an important role in promoting gender equality and strengthening the role of women.
„Diversity is an integral part of our succession planning in order to further strengthen equal opportunities at Vitesco Technologies. We believe in the strategic advantage of diverse teams in all areas and at all levels. We are actively addressing this, for example with specific mentoring programs for women, specific Employer Branding and a large-scale diversity initiative.“
– Ingo Holstein, CHRO of Vitesco Technologies
In this context, Vitesco Technologies recently also signed the “Diversity Charter”: A fundamental commitment to the economic and social benefits of diversity and tolerance, fairness and appreciation in the world of work and society. In order to strengthen our awareness of the importance of diversity in the workforce, Vitesco Technologies is currently hosting the “Diversity Month” with various campaigns and workshops on the topic, closely associated with its own corporate values: Passionate, Partnering and Pioneering.
